The gas propane

The gas propane is one of the most versatile natural combustible. It represents a clean source of energy, economic and effective. It is useful to supply a huge range of equipments and we can find many applications about domestic, commercial, industrial, agricultural or tourist products. Propane is a heavier-than-air gas. And more, to detect its presence in case of leak, an odorous product (ethylmercaptan) has been added. The storage is done under average pressure. Liquid propane boils and becomes hazy at -42.2 Celsius degrees.
Gas propane is a hydrocarbon for the same reasons as gasoline, natural gas or oil-fired heating. Quebec consumes about 500 millions of litres of propane annually that represents 1% of the energetic balance sheet.

Advantages

- Propane is an ecologic source of energy. It is not as damaging as other mixture gas for the greenhouse effects gas. And more, gas propane contains not much sulphur and lead.

- In economic terms, propane equipments are more enduring than electricity products and they’re high-performance products.

- Propane is a very concentrated combustible. For example: a bottle of 9 kilos (20 pounds) of liquid propane connected to any hind of equipment contains about 4000 litres (1000 gallons) of usable fuel.
